Head of Strategy and Business Development
Rob has extensive design and project management experience in both the United Kingdom and Australia. In London he was responsible for project managing the development and delivery of retail spaces for leading food retailer EAT. Following this he switched to the agency side to lead the client services team at Still Waters Run Deep where he developed strategic design solutions for large blue chip clients including Sony, Virgin and Astra Zeneca.
Rob established Studio Round in 2002. Since then, he has been responsible for strategy development, account management and overseeing delivery of the studio’s numerous projects. His experience covers a range of industry sectors, including retail & hospitality, property development, resources, arts & culture, finance, manufacturing and professional services among others.
Specialising in client relationship management, Tim’s skill set also covers strategy, project management and delivery, as well as marketing and brand communications.
Tim spent a number of years working in both New York and London, with clients such as Lloyds Banking Group and Vertu, which exposed him to a broad range of industries as diverse as sport, luxury, finance and broadcasting.
Since returning to Melbourne 6 years ago, he has been managing and directing branding projects for the National Museum of Australia, ISPT, Mirvac, Colorpak, UEM Sunrise, Ho Bee Group and Netball Australia.
Working alongside the directors, Tim's responsible for overseeing the studio and ensuring project delivery is on track as well as leading key client relationships. Keeping an eye on the bigger picture he also ensures that clients’ needs are met and their business problems identified and addressed.
Mike has over 15 years of design and communications experience working across disciplines, but primarily focused on print, web and motion graphics. Mike started his career with the internationally acclaimed, Toronto-based, Concrete Design Communications, serving a variety of sectors including luxury retail / fashion, architecture, arts and hospitality.
Prior to joining Studio Round in 2010, Mike worked in the Netherlands for 5 years, primarily at Dietwee, which is often referred to as the largest small design agency in the Netherlands. Quite purposefully though, given the tendency to work for both very large and very small clients at the same time, be it commercial, cultural or non profit.
As Design Director, Mike is responsible for creatively leading project teams, strategic development, managing designers and ensuring delivery of quality outcomes across both online and offline communication channels. Mike is a big believer in the process of reduction to find truth and simplicity so a simple brand story can be told.
